The Timing belt otherwise known as the cambelt is a crucial serviceable item made of rubber where prevention is far cheaper than the cure. These may run on the outside of the engine or sometimes internally otherly known as a “wetbelt” The interval on these all vary on age and mileage between all different manufacturers most are due every 5-10 years. What does a timing belt do? A timing belt synchronizes the engine’s crankshaft and camshaft, ensuring that the valves open and close at precisely the right moment for the pistons. It’s a crucial component made of rubber that keeps the engine’s internal parts working in harmony for smooth operation. If the timing belt breaks, the valves and pistons can collide, causing major internal engine damage. Get in touch if your Timing/ wetbelt is due!
